It starts with a small circle in the middle, then the petals go around it, and the stem and leaves come last. On every step the new line is black and everything drawn earlier turns gray, so the child never has to hunt for what changed.

Then the child traces the finished drawing along the dotted line, so the hand learns the shape before drawing it alone. After that comes their own version in the blank space, and the finished picture can be colored in.

Questions parents ask

How do you draw a flower for a 5-year-old?

Start from one simple shape and add one detail per step. It starts with a small circle in the middle, then the petals go around it, and the stem and leaves come last. Tracing the finished outline first makes the independent attempt easier.

Is it really free?

Yes. No registration, no email, no payment. Print as many copies as you need, at home or in a school.

Which file do I print, Letter or A4?

In the United States and Canada, choose Letter. In Europe and Latin America, choose A4. The drawing is the same.
