    Hand the page over and let the child color. One object, thick outlines, nothing else on the sheet to get lost in.

Questions Parents Ask

Do first words have to be real things?

Not at all. A toddler's world includes stories. If your child loves dragons or unicorns, there is every reason to name them while coloring.

Which characters are in the books?
