Vehicle First Words for Toddlers
23 vehicles across the three books: bus, train, truck, tractor, plane, boat and more, each drawn big and simple.
Things that go
Vehicle first words are the names of things that move and carry people: car, bus, train, plane. Children point at them from the stroller long before they can say them, so the word attaches to something the child already cares about.
A bus, a train and a truck, exactly as they appear inside the books.

Every vehicle, book by book
Keep it simple. “Bus.” “The bus is big.” “Train.” No need to ask your child to repeat anything.

First words
1
Color
Hand the page over and let the child color. One object, thick outlines, nothing else on the sheet to get lost in.
2
Say
Name what is on the page while they work. Cat. A cat says meow. Where are the cat's ears? Nothing to prepare, you already know the words.
3
Notice the word
The word is printed under the picture in hollow letters, so it can be colored too. Point at it, read it out, move on. No drills, no testing.
Where these pages come from
The vehicles come from our three coloring books, one drawing per page with the word underneath.
Questions Parents Ask
Why do toddlers latch onto vehicle words?
Because vehicles move and make noise, and a child notices them without being told to. A word attached to something they already point at needs far less repetition.
Are there trucks and trains in the books?
Yes. Little Max Book 1 has bus, train, truck, tractor, bicycle and boat. The First Coloring Book adds car, helicopter, airplane, ship, submarine and rocket.
Is a rocket too complicated for a two-year-old?
Your child does not need to understand space travel. They can color the picture, hear its name and make their own rocket sound. That is more than enough.
